El uso del color fue algo muy discutido en su momento (como los límites cronológicos) pero a estas alturas negar a un film de Dwan (Ligeramente escarlata) el estatuto de negro cuando tienen todas las características (incluso en mayor medida que Laura, por ejemplo, otra cosa es que sea mejor película, que creo que no lo es) es absurdo.

No estás solo. Cuando remití mi voto para la encuesta de Criterion, decidí ser purista y citar sólo noirs americanos entre 1940 y 1960. Pero me traicioné a mí mismo para meter "Slightly Scarlet" y "Party Girl". Esta última, sin embargo, no encontró apoyos.

Yo no he votado todavía (ya traeré mi lista con más tiempo) pero pienso parecido respecto de Leave Her to Heaven.

Lo tengo claro, felipe. Me encanta el cine negro en color, pero para mí el noir es el noir.

Y sólo hay que ver las capturas que tú mismo has puesto para comprenderlo.

A mí ese Stahl me parece más melo que noir. Los colorines de Leon Shamroy le dan un aire de irrealidad que no pega con el noir. Aunque sean películas de notable estilización visual, los noir van de la mano con el (neo)realismo.

Es complicado en mi caso reducirlo sólo a cien, pues siempre he dicho que prefiero un truñaco de cine negro a una buena comedia, aunque "The long Goodbye" es truñaco truñaco

De las que has citado corre a verlas, que la vida es breve. Personalmente me encantó "Act of violence" porque sale mi adorado Robert Ryan. Y "Border incident tiene una escena muy angustiosa que hace que la peli no se me olvide.

The big steal, pues sale Miychum muy Mitchum, así que a por ella.

Y como diría terminator "Volveré"
