Siguiendo la clasificación de películas que venían como Slasher en filmaffinity (para los años ochenta), serían éstas mis películas favoritas:

No es mi género ni de cerca, pero dejando de lado las de De Palma, que para mí no son slashers, en su momento me gustaron Lo squartatore di New York (Lucio Fulci, 1982) y Dead & Buried (Gary Sherman, 1981)

Yo tampoco lo veo claro, pero me ceñí a filmaffinity (por eso lo señalé), la que comentas "Body Double" también es de mis favoritas, pero ahí no he tenido problema porque no la incluían. "Dressed to Kill" sí que venía, básicamente la incluí por ello, pero bueno personalmente tampoco veo slasher a "The Hitcher" (1986) Robert Harmon, apliqué simplemente el listado de allí y seleccioné las que tengo como favoritas.

De todas formas mi elección es parecida a la tuya, dudar pero votar un título de este director, porque la relación entre De Palma y este subgénero me parece evidente (como la presencia del giallo en la misma Body Double) y me parecería injusta su ausencia en el listado; por otra parte, hay ocasiones en que los títulos más interesantes son aquellos que se sitúan voluntariamente en las fronteras de los géneros (o subgéneros, como en es caso de las aportaciones de este estupendo cineasta), fomentando así una reflexión -desde la misma película- sobre los mismos.

Y supongo que tendrás razón. Pero es que si nos ceñimos a slasher puros (las sagas de Viernes 13, Elm Street y otros subproductos) la oferta para elegir es muy limitada. Por otra parte hasta hay películas que para algunos pertenecen al subgénero (como el primer Halloween de Carpenter) cuya pertenencia es discutible ya que cuando se rodaron no había una voluntad de explotar un filón comercial. En todo caso fue ella la que impulso el género (influencias de Psicosis y de otros clásicos aparte).

Primera vez que oigo el término "slasher", y eso que crecí en los 80.
¿De qué estamos hablando? Por las listas, diría que de lo que yo llamo "terror cutre". En Noche de miedo, los sábados después del fútbol, alternaban películas buenas de la Hammer y de Corman, con cosas de estas tipo Freddy, Jason y tal. ¿Van por ahí los tiros?
