Sinopsis:

Dos adolescentes que se han escapado, Nicky Marotta (Robin Johnson) de familia pobre
y Pamela Pearl (Trini Alvarado) de familia rica, viviendo en Nueva York.

Las dos chicas forman un grupo de punk underground, The Sleez Sisters,

Los subs ingleses normales no llevaban las letras de las canciones, cosa que sí sucedía con los subs para hipoacúsicos.

Los enlaces a los textos no funcionan; hubiera sido interesante leer algo que justifique la condición cult (dyke...??? really?) de esta película.
Ni las mozas protagonistas ni el director hicieron gran cosa después (Pump Up the Volume / Rebelión en las ondas, 1990, era "más de lo mismo").

I’m dating myself here, but I actually saw the movie this collection was drawn from during its original theatrical release, suckered in by a trailer showcasing a soundtrack that runs the gamut from the obvious (Ramones’ “I Wanna Be Sedated”) to the sublime (Roxy Music’s “Same Old Scene”) to the ridiculous (Desmond Child & Rouge’s “The Night Was Not”) to the downright embarrassing (Robin Johnson’s “Little Rascals”-on-angel-dust-and-fathered-by-David-Johansen, poverty-punk pass at “Damn Dog,” which might not have sounded half bad in the more-than-capable hands of Joan Jett).

Predictably, the film has attracted a cult following in the 28 years since its release - particularly amongst connoisseurs of trash cinema and the gay community – not only for Hollywood’s desperate, ham-fisted attempt at jumping the punk rock bandwagon and hanging onto the front bumper, kicking and screaming all the way to Scrapheap City, but for the tense lesbian undercurrent on display between Johnson and co-star Trini Alvarado. While I haven’t seen it in at least that long, I distinctly remember wincing, cringing, and covering my eyes several times in that darkened theater, knowing that was $3.50 I’d never get back.

If the director only could have worked a Tim Curry performance of “I Do the Rock” into the plot, things might not have been a total loss.

Yo creo que su condición de culto viene por dos cosas, su banda sonora que es brutal, y que durante mucho tiempo no estuvo disponible para ver.

Pero bueno, no todo van a ser obras maestras. Se agradece que también se restaure y rescate obras menores como ésta.

Os dejo el dual montado 1080p.MKV codec h265 con un tamaño de 1,90 Gigas, es equivalente a más de 4 Gigas con una codificación de h264.
