ARGUMENTO Rupert Pupkin es un cómico obsesionado con la fama y convertirse en el mejor en su campo. Un día Rupert conoce a su ídolo, Jerry Langford, y le suplica la oportunidad de aparecer en su show, pero éste se la niega. Sin embargo Pupkin no cejará en su empeño, acosando a Jerry para intentar poder conseguir sus propósitos y, con ayuda de su amiga Masha, usará un método contundente para poder obtener sus minutos de celebridad.
