ARGUMENTO: Después de un tiempo en tierra debido a una jugarreta, Philip Gale, un marinero americano, es contratado en el "Yorikke", un buque de carga. LA PELÍCULA NOS NARRA LAS VICISITUDES DE UN MARINERO QUE HA PERDIDO SU BARCO Y AL CUAL LE HAN ROBADO EL DINERO Y LOS PAPELES. VARADO EN UN PUERTO EXTRAÑO Y SIN PAPELES, QUE ES LO MISMO COMO SI NO FUERAS NADIE, SE VE ENROLADO EN UN MERCANTE DE DUDOSA LEGALIDAD Y POBLADO DE RUDOS PERSONAJES, UN BARCO QUE PARECE MÁS UNA TUMBA FLOTANTE. UN RELATO QUE RECUERDA EN LAS FORMAS Y AMBIENTES A JACK LONDON O INCLUSO A MELVILLE, PERO CON UNA MARCADA CARGA TRÁGICA QUE RECORRE EL RELATO DE PRINCIPIO A FIN. MUY RECOMENDABLE.
