Synopsis:Norma Shearer plays a dual roles in this critically acclaimed masterpiece. InfoNote: this .avi is actually more enjoyable than the dvd used for the encode... as duplicate frames (removed here) added to match the ntsc dvd cadence are thrown without the slightest trace of concern for the "flow" of the movie. It almost looks like someone doing thousands of mini-pauses randomly throughout the whole dvd

Aunque parezca mentira, el cine tiene más de 100 añosY a juzgar por alguna de las películas que suelen circular hoy por ahí, hay gente que no se ha dado cuenta. Tal es la edad del cine que ya en 1925, hace exactamente 87 años... gente como Monta Bell era ya capaz de rodar un melodrama perfecto como Lady of the Night, moviéndose de manera exquisita entre el drama y la comedia, y manteniendo todo el tiempo una gran emotividad, un poco a través de los pormenores de la historia (dos mujeres de distinta clase social enamoradas del mismo hombre), pero sobre todo por el cariño que siente y le imprime a los personajes.
Hoy, cuando algunos sucedáneos contemporáneos del cine mudo se llevan decenas de premios internacionales y la gente parece darse cuenta por primera vez que eso que ve diariamente en su casa o en las salas es un arte noble que tiene una historia, es refrescante poder ver pequeñas joyas como Lady of the Night, y darse cuenta qué cierta es a veces aquella frase que dice "tan viejo, tan nuevo".
