Sin ser un remake oficial, por lo menos las crónicas no lo reflejan como tal, pasa lo mismo que en Rio Bravo & El Dorado, los elementos argumentales son muy parecidos y la mirada casi idéntica. En teoría la buena es la primera, aunque algunos como Miguel Marías prefieren la segunda, de más presupuesto, más larga y con Mifune encabezando el reparto. En todo caso, de las que he visto, las dos mejores de su autor.

Varias películas de Ozu podrían incluirse en este hilo. Dos de las que más me gustan son:

Gracias, Prudencio. No he visto la primera versión, pero La hierba errante (1959) me parece una de las mejores de Ozu, sino la mejor, después de Tokio Monogatari. Que duda cabe que todos los autores (y Ozu lo fue más que ninguno) acaban haciendo casi siempre algún autoremake...sin quererlo.
