https://karagarga.in/details.php?id=221856A 7 part adaptation of the epic tale of Aeneas, written by Virgil as the Roman sequel to Homer's Iliad and Odyssey. A story that has not often been chosen for film or television, even though it's the main source about the "Trojan Horse", which Homer does not mention. (Although it may have been part of an oral tradition rather than Virgil's own invention.)
Rossi had previously adapted The Odyssey in 1968. Sadly he never managed to complete the trilogy with Iliad.
While his l'Odissea is officially available on DVD, his Aeneid was harder to find until the RAI offered this (staff-approved) webrip (thanks to Drabant).
Co-produced by France and Germany (where it was divided into 4 longer episodes).
