Si tienes una tarjeta de video NVidia, no muy antigua, puedes buscar en la pestaña de encoder de Handbrake o Avidemus, la opción NVenc265.
H265 resulta muy pesado de compartir para el procesador de tu computadora. Tal vez eso es lo que te está provocando que no termine.
